Guess what’s for dinner tonight? That’s right, I’m making the goulash recipe that my mom used to make. Of course, I’ve added more herbs (I love my basil) and dress it up a bit with shredded Parmesan cheese (the real stuff, not the grated stuff that doesn’t look like cheese!). What I like about this dish is that it’s quick to make (under 30 minutes), very filling, and you can usually put it together using what’s in your pantry. I like Aldi’s Tomato, Garlic, Basil pasta sauce, though you’re welcome to use whatever flavor you have on hand.

  1. Chop the onion. Put in skillet with ground meat and cook until meat is fully cooked. While you're cooking the meat, cook the pasta until it is al dente and then drain. Mix rest of ingredients with meat and onion mixture. Heat until cooked through. Top with shredded Parmesan cheese or mozzarella
Recipe Notes

This was always a quick, cheap, go-to meal for mom and I.
