In the mornings before I feed the horses, I’ll see Thunder doing yoga. He puts his front feet out before him and then does a big stretch, like a cat stretching its back or “downward dog”, except he keeps his head up. He does this before eating, and I’d like to think that it’s the stretch we do in the mornings when we wake up.
This morning, I caught his daughter Firefly doing the same stretch. As if now that I’d appeared (I slept in this morning), she was stretching and thinking, “okay, breakfast is here. Time to start the day.”
One of the things I’d like to do is get back into a yoga practice. In fact, I’m slowly (VERY SLOWLY) clearing an area, where I hope to set up an outside platform for yoga and to allow my horses there with me. It’ll take a lot of work, and I’m going very slowly at it, but it’s part of my dream. I’ll keep you posted, but this morning, I was thrilled to see yoga horses in my pasture.
