Practice took a vacation last week. Chronic illness flared on top of allergy counts so high the weather guy was fanboying out over them (Mold is high today. Watch out for that oak pollen.) Considering that I was sweeping oak tree “stuff” up every time I opened my front door and finally took the snow shovel that leans against the house year round and scooped off the oak “stuff” from the porch, well, yeah that was a DUH moment. However, the truth is my head felt bad enough that I didn’t get to practice.

I hate skipping practice. I have plenty of reeds, so I don’t worry about needing to use a different reed because I don’t feel well. But sometimes, when allergies and clarinet practice collide, that’s the best thing to do. Hopefully this coming week will be better.
