I won’t lie. I have an addiction to Food Network. In fact, I’m looking at the magazine right now. I love to cook. Growing up as the granddaughter of family farmers, and with relatives who were often looking for diabetic-friendly/weight loss friendly recipes, much of what I do tends to be simple reminders of my youth.
I’m also in a very rural town in southern Missouri. Don’t let Ree Drummond fool you. She might talk game living on a ranch in Oklahoma, but when you watch her show and think “there’s no way I can purchase that locally”, she shops a lot bigger than living on the “prairie”. (I love her recipes. I often have to either get creative or hit up an Amazon Prime Pantry box to make it work. Alas….
So the recipes you’ll find here will be simple, but good, (I hope) fare. I don’t know if I’ll be able to post a recipe a week, but I’ll aim for at least once a month. Since the weather is turning cooler and we’re busy with holiday preparations, today’s recipe is a meatloaf you can make in your crock pot.
Dump everything into a bowl. Remove rings. Put on rubber gloves if you want, and mix with your hands. Dump into crock pot sprayed with cooking spray and shape into a vague loaf shape. Cook. Enjoy.
