It’s a cold and rainy Saturday here in the Ozarks, and I’m about to pop some pork ribs into the crock pot and I’m going to make some cole slaw to go along with them. I cheat. I buy a bag of tri-colored cole slaw at WalMart. If you want, you can buy a head of green and a head of red cabbage, some carrots, and shred them all together. Here’s my dressing, because I got sick and tired of paying grocery store prices for Cole Slaw Dressing. I mean, it’s not that different from salad dressing, so why is it more than twice the cost. (I can’t find any locally for under like $3.50/bottle, when Aldi’s has great salad dressing for $1.29/bottle and doesn’t carry cole slaw dressing.)

Cole Slaw Dressing
When you buy cole slaw dressing in the store, it's expensive! Like why is it so much more than a bottle of salad dressing when it has many of the same ingredients? So I learned how to make my own. Servings on this are hard to tell, depending on how "soupy" people like their cole slaw. I prefer tangy dressing, but you can add more sugar if you prefer sweet. I'll be honest, I don't measure this out anymore. I just dash and dollop it until I get the taste I want. Experiment.
