Writers reach burnout due to a variety of factors these days, the biggest one being the state of the market. When I started seeking publication more than twenty years ago the belief was you write the books, your publisher does the rest. Of course it wasn’t true then anymore than it’s true now. We just didn’t have social media to bring the news to light.
