I want to admit something to you. I have an addiction. Okay, two. First, I’m addicted to reeds. I love finding different brands, different strengths, even trying the cheap Chinese reeds on eBay. It’s all good, and I love them all. I’m a reed geek.
I’m also a music book geek. In the past, I’ve picked up several different etudes and studies books. Did you know there’s a group on Facebook specifically designed to go through Etudes and practice one a week? Well, I’m going to peruse my books and pick one and see if we can find something besides scales to play. And, when I was looking in my books, I found some of the greatest hits from the 90s. Call me old, but I may be rockin’ out. But first, let’s look at etudes and technique studies.
