Music is mental health. This is something I’ve known for a very long time. Over the course of the last weekend, in spite of a huge to do list (and I keep adding to it, haha), and some big writing goals for this month, I started playing again.

And yes, even though I’m working through the Pares Scales book (I’m almost done with the G scale), and I’m back with my AG mouthpiece after working with the Debut and just not liking the tone I was getting. Of course I’m doing more than playing scales. I’m working with the notes, paying attention to the notation and varying my speed and playing style. In short, it sounds like I’m making music.

It’s a short update, but a very good one. Hopefully I’ll feel confident enough to make a video soon.
